The company engaged Tractus to support its market entry by identifying and evaluating potential distribution partners in Thailand and Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Approach<\/h3>\n\n<p>Tractus conducted a <strong>rigorous, multi-stage evaluation process over eight weeks<\/strong> to identify and assess potential distribution partners in Thailand and Vietnam. The research covered <strong>six business categories related to the rice value chain<\/strong>, including fertilizer, agrochemical, and seed wholesalers and manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thailand<\/strong>: Created a <strong>longlist of 3,582 companies<\/strong> across six business categories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vietnam<\/strong>: Similarly created a <strong>longlist of 5,475 companies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Through discussions with the client, we developed **10 Critical Selection Factors (CSFs)** to assess company suitability. These included:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial capability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product relevance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distribution network and market coverage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government registration status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marketing capabilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest in partnership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>We then applied these CSFs across the entire longlist, narrowing down candidates in stages based on criteria such as data availability, business relevance, and revenue scale.<\/p>\n\n<p>We also conducted primary research to confirm:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Distribution model and coverage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to partner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Readiness for regulatory compliance and registration procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>To compare the final candidates, we used the <strong>Kepner-Tregoe (K-T) analysis model<\/strong>, evaluating them against weighted criteria such as revenue, CAGR (compound annual growth rate), distributor network, registration capability, and interest in partnership.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results<\/h3>\n\n<p>As a result of the evaluation, the following companies met all CSF criteria:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thailand: 41 companies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vietnam: 38 companies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>In addition, the <strong>top 10 companies<\/strong> in each market were ranked using the K-T model.<\/p>\n\n<p>This project enabled the client to prioritize <strong>local partners capable of effectively handling product registration, marketing, and distribution<\/strong>, building a strong foundation for <strong>rapid market entry and long-term business growth<\/strong> for its environmentally friendly biofertilizer products in Thailand and Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview An innovative biofertilizer manufacturer aimed to launch commercial operations in Southeast Asia.
